End of 2008 I have gone back to small scale canvases (after years of working on large-size paintings) and I really enjoyed the process, which was surprisingly satisfying as were the results.

So I have decided to keep going...

All the paintings on this blog are 10" x 10" (25x25cm) and (unless otherwise stated) can be purchased for NZ$250 per artwork (inclusive of delivery within New Zealand only. For overseas delivery extra charges may apply).

The theme was Modern Dilemma and my painting portrayed the complexity of intimacy and the ever-changing concept of courtship in today’s “casual” society, the modern dilemma being the conflict between trust and openness versus the pain and disappointment it is likely to cause

First solo exhibition “Very well, thank you...” February 2007 at PPg Gallery, Auckland.
The series of portraits was about our inability to recognize and accept our own emotions, and those of others, and how this incapacity may result in self-deceptive behavior and a potential to mislead or be misled
